The emergence of the present Inspector General of Police at a time the country is facing difficult security challenges is no acceptable excuse given the passion with which Abubakar has pursued the task within the past six months.
Coming with his wealth of experience and goodwill, the new IGP seems well suited for the job, more-so he was redeployed from Calabar to Bauchi shortly before his appointment as Acting IGP on January 25th 2012 obviously due to his pedigree.
